Since 1937, the family-owned Luco Farms company has grown award-winning pedigree cereal and oilseed crops. They recently underwent a slight image change as they transitioned into growing and processing mustard and other fresh produce. They wanted to differentiate their brand image to highlight the naturally grown aspect or their products.
Up until recently, Luca Farms didn’t need a logo. Although they have been around since 1937, they had done most of their business without any branding or marketing. With this new shift, we were happy to design and develop a logo to showcase their brand and the tradition behind each product.
There’s more to a product label than just describing what’s inside the jar. A product label must stand tall against competitors, promoting the brand and the unique aspects of the product. We took the logo that we had designed for them and transformed it into a simple, rustic product label. We used colors to differentiate the different types of mustard, and kept the rest as minimal as possible.
